TC9 English Electric Type 1 / Class 20 Diesel.
Built as part of the B.R. modernisation program a total of 228 locomotives
were built between 1955 and 1968. This kit builds a Class 20 with either
folding disc deadcodes or a single centre box headcode. It features fluted
equalising beams and patch on cab ends. Both oval and round buffers are
supplied. This will enable the modeller to produce D8000-19, D8128-99 and
D*300-27. Some of this class are still in service today, almost 50 years
after being introduced. Several examples are also preserved.
