TC16 L.M.S. / B.R. DUCHESS WITH SLOPING SMOKEBOX.
This range of top quality kits is manufactured exclusively for Tower Models
by D.J.H. Engineering. The kits include a three piece cast pewter boiler,
etched brass chassis and tender, a host of fittings in cast pewter and lost
wax cast brass. The kits require wheels, gears and motor to complete. Latest
addition to the range is a L.M.S. / B.R. Duchess depicted with a sloping
smokebox. The kit covers locomotives 6220-6229 and 6235 to 6248 during a
period of their lives when they were known as "Semi's". Although
some locomotives were rebuilt fairly quickly some survived until withdrawal
in this form.
