Heljan Class 37/4

Locomotives

Following the success of the Class 37/0 Heljan have produced a Class 37/4 that first came out in the latter half of 2019 followed by a re-run with some new liveries in early 2021. Heljan have now also announced a third production run for release in 2022 which includes a limited re-run of the Colas livery which will only be available from Tower Models. We are taking orders for these now for despatch as soon as they become available and a limited number of the earlier liveries are also available as per the lists below.

As always we are also offering our numbering and weathering service through the workshops should customer's wish to take advantage of this service. Numbering a loco is just £25.00, numbering and weathering an additional £75.00. This usually take 7-10 days to complete. We can also do named examples if required at an additional £25.00 subject to the number of plates required and this can take up to 6 weeks as the name plates are made specially to order.

In regard to the Large Logo Blue Class 37's it is not quite so easy as these often also feature the various depot logos and also the unusual large numbering. In the case of these there is an additional £5.00 for the depot logos and £10.00 charge for the large loco numbering. The same is also true on the large lettering for the EWS livery.

There is also the option of sound fitting as well through the workshops at an additional £330.00 using the ESU v5.0 XL chip.

The latest production run of the Class 37/4 are at sea and are due with us in the UK before the end og August

During 2019 we did a number of re-branding of the standard triple grey Class 37/4 into Trainsrail livery as Blackpool Tower and it wasn't an easy task with all of those transfers. This was so popular though that we decided to commision Heljan into a Limited Edition for this livery, though un-numbered so it can be completed as any of the locos in this livery and does not include the vertical red door stripe which was only present in the early days to cover up the sector markings and was not present on later ones. The door stripe could easily be added though if required. Only 75 of these are being made and advance ordering is highly recommended.

Colas Railfreight Special Offer

Unexpectedly Heljan have also just offered us two Limited Edition Colas Railfreight numbered Class 60 locomotives, one with the standard Colas helmet logo and one with the later helmet logo, both factory numbered. Only 50 of each of these are being produced and are now available. These are a perfect companion to the Limited Edition Class 37/4 in Colas livery which will be released Summer 2022. As such we have decided to put together a Special Colas liveried offer. The two Class 60's would be despatched as soon as they become available and then the Class 37/4 follow on as soon as they become available.
