"O" Gauge Kits

The 'Brush Type 4' Class 47 was the largest like design diesel locomotives to be constructed, with a total class number of 512. They were built between 1962 and 1967 by Brush of Loughborough and BR Crewe works and when introduced into traffic they became the standard BR mixed traffic loco. Over their life time they have worked on a wide variety of trains over the majority of the national network, these include Inter City passenger services, merry go round coal trains, mail, parcel, motorail, Freightliner and about every type of freight workings. They can still be seen today performing various duties for EWS, DRS, Fragonset and First Great Western Railways. Kit covers loco's D1500-D1806 from 1962 to 1976 which were fitted with the early type fixed radiator grills. Alternative parts are included to build locos, which were fitted with either the Stones or Spanner type of boiler.

Kit features: Cast, high quality, three-piece'tin' alloy body, water/fuel tanks, battery boxes, bogie sideframes and brakes. Etched brass/nickel silver roof panels (preformed), fans and engine grill covers, window beadings, bogie chassis x 2 including axle bushes. Includes lost wax brass buffer heads (sprung), steam heating and air hoses, windscreen wipers (two types) and fine detailing parts. Also flushglaze windows, cab detail and full exploded diagrams and assembly instructions. The kit does not include: Motor, gears, pick-ups (Available separately from DJH ) or wheels (recommended parts specified). Optional working lighting kit also available from DJH as a separate item.
